I’m able to regularly view both the ocean and our changing skies. In this photo I focused on the intensity, texture and ominous nature of clouds frequently associated with Florida storms.

Artist's Statement
Throughout my artistic career my primary focus has been the exploration of color. Over the years, I’ve applied these elements to the fields of photography, contemporary painting, interior design, graphic design and furniture design.
My earlier work was composed primarily of black & white photography where the color spectrum is transformed into a “value” scale of lightness and darkness. This requires the viewer to look “into” the photograph to capture the entire image rather than relying merely on the emotional effect of color. In my current compositions I try to refrain from using color in a purely decorative fashion by creating interest with texture & pattern then balancing out the color temperature and intensity.

| Bio
Dori received her degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison where her course emphasis was on interior design and visual arts, including advanced color theory. Her design approach is based on creating inviting aesthetics built on balance and attention to detail supported by a solid mastery of color and materials.
Dori’s career has focused heavily on all aspects of interior, graphic and product design which are integrated with a strong background in sales and business. This combination enables her to effectively attend to both the creative and commercial aspects of any project.
