Lake Worth Casino built in 1922. Destroyed in 1928 hurricane. Rebuilt 1950, in simple shoebox design. Benches, pavilion added about 1960. Today: aging building, many surveys, raging debate. Fresh paint.

One of the first hotels in Lake Worth, built 1920. Many ups and downs, seedy dive, bad reputation. Series of new owners. Today a “historic hotel”, great location, budget stay.

Artist's statement
There are only a few remnants left of the casual charm and beauty of the South Florida of years gone by. The places that we take for granted are disappearing. I have begun to photograph what I can, attempting to document places that delight me, and that may not be there next time I pass by.
Past and present, shadow and light, nature and artifact, in and out, above and below compete for attention for all of us. I try to take the time to really observe, to capture what I can, before it is gone.
I’ve lived in South Florida for about ten years, yet I still feel like a lucky traveler who has been gifted with the time to stay, to look, and to explore. I consciously seek out special moments, special places, juxtapositions and contradictions, a scene ever changing and in transition, a mix of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

| Bio
I've been looking through the lens of a camera since about 1970, but my career was in clinical social work. Now I have the time to devote to growing as a photographer, participating in Photo Salon and other art and photography groups, and exhibiting my work.
I am proud to have had work selected in about twenty juried local, statewide and national exhibitions, including the 58th Annual All Florida Competition and Exhibition at the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the 11th and 12th Annual Palm Beach Photographic Centre Infocus Juried Exhibitions, Visual Conceits at the Armory Art Center, Native Offerings ll at Pine Jog Environmental Education Center, and the National Photography and Digital Imagery Exhibition at Palm Beach Community College, Eissey Campus.
Selections of my work can be seen at the Ross Gallery of Art in West Palm Beach and at Liman Gallery in Palm Beach.
